In just the second year of our Foundation’s striving to be in full, education mode, we have gotten off to a start we hope would make the freedom suits plaintiffs proud. The 2025 Annual Report – with its theme of “Upon this Cornerstone” – shines a light on some of our activities from January through December. These include our participation in the NCHE Annual Conference in St. Louis (March) and the National Park Service granting our application to include Freedom Plaza as a site in its National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom (May.)
Board member Mark Carroll is the creative force behind this annual report, just as he was for last year’s. His gift of composing images, color, and layout, is obvious and impressive. Our entire Board hopes you enjoy the 2025 Annual Report and that it provides inspiration to learn more about the more than 300 courageous freedom suits plaintiffs and those who helped them.
