Please join me, board members, and our other donors in launching the newly-formed Foundation’s educational efforts. Our goal is to help enhance the dream sculpture project of Memorial founder, the Honorable David C. Mason to honor freedom suits plaintiffs, lawyers, and judges. From the very beginning, it has been our hope that this would be a community-supported project, so we welcome all donations of any size. People have fulfilled that hope for the physical Memorial on Freedom Plaza.
Now, we very much need your help to carry out the Foundation’s ambitious educational mission, building on the Memorial itself, to tell the stories of the courageous St. Louis freedom suits plaintiffs and how they are connected to the successes and struggles of Blacks in America from then, all the way up to the present day. We also need your help to keep the Memorial in the excellent condition.
Sincerely,
Paul N. Venker, President
